Item Description Manuscript in Skinner's hand. His note reads 'Dunnottar Castle' 'Currie's Ramble' are attributed to same source. perhaps David Young his brother - John Young was a well known violin maker in Aberdeena and repaired the Editor's Fathers violin in order that he might learn again with the left hand having shot off some fingers at a marriage.' James Young (c. 1815-1851) was born in Montrose, and led the band of the Theatre Royal, Aberdeen, for many years. He wrote 'Dunottar Castle', also published in the Harp and Claymore.
