Item Description Skinner often 'respectfully dedicated' music to people he thought might be useful patrons to him in the future. He often named his dances after topical or heroic occasions. The Quadrille Lancers, a five part 'square' dance for four couples, was still an extremely popular ballroom dance in the late nineteenth century. This dramatic cover was produced by the typesetter, Oscar Brandstetter, Leipzig.
