Item Description |
These accompaniments appear in the scrapbook of tunes and accompaniments that Skinner presented to Mrs Barclay of The Gordon Arms Hotel, Keith, after his bankruptcy. Skinner keeps his accompaniments very simple indeed. This perhaps goes back to his childhood experience of accompanying Peter Milne on the cello. See JSS0804, The Cameron Highlanders. Listen to Skinner's recording of the Highlanders by clicking on the link below (cd116b). Click on 29b to hear him playing Bogniebrae. |
