Page 3 of 3 of a letter from Skinner to the artist David Waterson. He continues: In my new Home, I am trying to possess a Russell (Salmon) & a Farquharson (Sheep) but as yet, I have not been successful. I am now on the threshold of 80 & feeling young again! So poor MacKenzie Murdoch is gone a harmless Kindly soul & we were fast friends. Scotland will be the poorer. I trust you are propsering & Keeping in the pink Yrs ALways J. Scott Skinner. [Note: Russell was a local Aberdeen artist. Examples of his work exist at the Blairs Museum.] |
