Item Description The Aberdeen Musical Society was formed in 1747/8 to 'meet for their musical entertainment once a week'. It continued for almost 60 years. This 1806 letter concerns the instruments and music (see JSS0652, and fol.), which were 'lodged in the Library Room of Marischal college' until 'the Society... shall be re-established'.
