We aim to achieve our ambitious goals by combining field experiments and surveys with a variety of modelling approaches and economic tools.

Statistics and modelling

Quantitative methods are central to our work. We use, develop and provide training in population modelling models, statistical tools, and advanced individual-based models.

Our group makes extensive use of RangeShifter, a flexible modelling platform developed at the University of Aberdeen by members of our team.

Economics

Economic tools help us understand the impacts of invasive alien species and investigate the most cost-effective methods to manage these invasive species. We use economic approaches to better address the problem of invasive species.
