In 2016 Aberdeen Biodiversity Centre will be focussing on Outdoor Learning, and we have now launched out poster competitions encouraging pupils to explore and use the outdoor spaces around them.
This years primary school poster competition is called "Sensing our Outdoor Habitats" and encourages children to use their senses to explore their outdoor space, and display what they discover in a collage. For more details on the Primary school competition go to the competition webpage.
Outdoor Laboratories is this years secondary school poster competition and it encourages pupils in S1-S3 to design a science experiment that can be conducted outside, and display the details of the experiment on an A3 poster. For more details on the Secondary school poster competition, please go to the competition page.
The prize for both competitions is a camera trap for your school grounds, and instructions for how to set it up, including top tips on location to ensure you get the best possible pictures of the local wildlife.
The closing date for the competitions is the 29th April 2016. Good luck!
