We are delighted to be hosting a Citizen Science Showcase CPD event, on Tuesday 4th March, 4-6pm at Aberdeen Biodiversity Centre. There are limited places available on this course, which will provide teachers with ideas and opportunities to engage their class in local projects and wildlife monitoring within their school grounds.
Citizen Science CPD
This session will introduce the concept of citizen science and highlight the ways that these practical projects can contribute to the Curriculum for Excellence, whilst introducing the importance of biological recording and showcasing a variety of local initiatives. During the session you will hear from a variety of speakers engaged in frontline research and conservation projects. A number of opportunities available within your local area will be discussed. Guidance will be given on how to use the resources available to you and your class to become involved with these topical science projects.
