Bee is for Biodiversity (aswell as Fantastic Food)
Visit the Natural History Centre team in both our classroom and in the Cruickshank Botanic Garden to learn about how important bees are for wildflowers and food production. A range of activities investigating bee behaviour and pollination will complement other activities on food growing and cooking.
We'll also be joined by the Waste Aware Team as they consider returning valuable nutrients to the soil through composting, and how to make your garden bee friendly. You can plant a pumpkin and browse the NHC's primary and secondary poster competition entries that explored biodiversity and seasonal food choices.
