A University of Aberdeen graduate has been honoured by the The Institute of Chartered Foresters (ICF) with an award in recognition of her achievements.
Rebecca Sinclair, who is a BSc Forestry student, was presented with the ICF Student Award when she graduated this summer.
Winners of the influential award receive a one-year ICF Associate membership subscription – a valuable platform for professional development.
Associate membership is the first step to chartered status, and seen as necessary or desirable by many leading employers.
ICF Executive Director Shireen Chambers congratulated the winners, highlighting the importance of supporting young professionals’ initiatives within the sector.
She said: “The Institute is delighted to congratulate Rebecca and the other winners of the ICF Student Award 2017.
“As the UK’s professional body for foresters and arboriculturists, ICF strongly believes in supporting new emerging talent, right from the start of their career journey.
“The Institute welcomes the 2017 ICF Student Award winners as new Associate members of the Institute, and we wish them all the best for the future.”
