Hemp for our future
Hemp cultivation dates back more than 6000 years. There are three main groups of hemp cultivars recognised for their distinct properties and grown to produce food, fibre and drugs (medicinal and recreational). Hemp is a climate-resilient, carbon-neutral, zero-waste crop. Here we showcase three main uses of hemp; energy, materials and healthy food. However, there are many other uses, including the development of personal care products containing hemp. This information is available as a pdf and if you want to know more about hemp, read our blog.
We've developed two recipes incorporating hemp ingredients for pancakes and gingerbread people for festive occasions.
