A workshop in neuroendocrinology
Julian Mercer: British Neuroscience Association 2015: “The interplay between the endocrine and nervous systems control many important body processes, including control of food intake, stress, reproduction and circadian rhythms. When these control mechanisms go wrong, the resulting diseases, which include obesity, metabolic disease and infertility amongst others, impact a large proportion of society, with untold direct cost to our NHS and indirect cost to our quality of life. Professor Julian Mercer will chair a symposium discussing a “top down” neuroscience perspective of these issues”
