Dr Jenkins is associate professor of geography and a member of the graduate programmes in geography and history at York University. He is co-author of Historical Knowth and its Hinterland (forthcoming 2008). His current research interests include Historical geographies of Ireland and North America and the comparative experiences of Irish migrants in Canadian and American cities in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
