How to initiate a project with DaSH

DaSH is welcoming enquiries from academics and health and social care professionals. Contact us at dash@abdn.ac.uk to discuss your requirements.

All researchers must undertake information governance training on how to work safely with data that covers the duration of the research project. We recommend the Medical Research Council’s course on Research, GDPR and Confidentiality. You will need to provide us with the certificate as well as proof of all modules completed. The University of Aberdeen also provides guidance for its researchers on clinical governance and quality assurance.

DaSH is working to improve our project initiation process in the future by providing an online Project Initiation Document, metadata catalogue for researchers and an easy-to-use metadata selection tool to assist researchers with permissions applications. We will be introducing these tools in 2022.
