Normally SN 1001 Level 1 Scandinavian Language 1 or by permission of the Head of School.

Please note, this course is designed for beginners to Scandinavian Languages and is not available to native speakers.
This course will be available as part of a Sustained Study programme in Scandinavian language.
Overview
Building on SN 1001 Scandinavian Language I, students will continue their introduction to speaking, listening, reading and writing in a Scandinavian language, currently Swedish. Students will learn to interact in both dialogues and written language, and also get some cultural insight. The course is designed to give students further development in the language, enabling them to progress to level 2.
Structure
3 one-hour written language classes, 1 one-hour oral class per week.
Assessment
1st Attempt: 1 two-hour written examination (70%) and in-course assessment: (20%); oral examination (10%).
Resit: 1 two-hour written examination (100%).
Feedback
Written and/or verbal feedback is given on all assessments. Additional informal feedback on performance is also given in both written language classes and oral classes.
