Overview
This course will provide participants with the pedagogical and practical knowledge to develop effective and high quality on-line courses, based on a variety of delivery methods. The courses are designed so that participants can directly use the output of the courses in their teaching. Learning by doing, collaborative learning and interaction in learning are the main pedagogical bases for this course. The course has been created to provide good examples of best practice while helping adult educators from all aspects of teaching and learning to develop their skills and confidence in this growing area of learning.

Teaching will be by WebCT.
Assessment
1st Attempt: In-course assessment: 3 group assignments on WebCT (25%), 1 final 'learners' guide' (50%) and responses to colleagues' learners' guides on WebCT (25%).

Overview
This course will provide participants with the pedagogical and practical knowledge to tutor effective and high quality on-line courses, based on a variety of delivery methods. During the course, participants will look at the distinctions between the role of online tutor and traditional instruction, and how this relates to blended-learning and tutoring. Participants will learn to use technical tools appropriately, learn activating methods and gain experience of them. During the course participants will develop a tutorial plan with direct practical application. Learning by doing, collaborative learning and interaction in learning are the main pedagogical bases for this course.
