IT 1003, IT 1503 or equivalent (not open to students qualified for IT 2505 or above).
Overview
This course is intended for students who have completed Elementary Italian 2 or who have reached an equivalent standard. It continues to develop the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, to increase understanding of the structure of the language and to build up communicative confidence. There is an integral programme of self-study in the Language Centre which accompanies the two weekly contact hours.
2 classes per week. 2 hours per week private study in the Language Centre.
1 two-hour written examination (60%) and continuous assessment (40%) (directed at oral skills).
