Course Overview

The purpose of this course is to introduce you to the external global context in which businesses operate. The specific learning objectives of the course are to explore the political, economic, sociocultural, technological, ethical and market influences on business, and how businesses interact to the global environment through innovation, strategy, operations and marketing. This will be approached through four themes:

  1. Challenges of Globalization
  2. Environmental Challenges
  3. Taming External Challenges
  4. Facing the Challenges
