This introductory course aims to build student confidence. Its provides students with relevant competencies and skills in the use of English for academic purposes (ie to prepare for the rigours of academic scholarship), to critically engage with reading, listening, presenting and writing content to then to be able to demonstrate competency of knowledge and skills acquired from this and other Year 1, Semester 1 (L1/S1) courses.
