As the title suggests, this course aims to prepare students for taking their dissertation in the subsequent sub-session by providing them with a background on what is expected of an academic dissertation and how to meet the expectations.

This course is designed to help students understand how to conduct a substantial piece of research independently in the form of a dissertation. Students will learn about the quantitative and qualitative requirements that will be used to assess their dissertation, and how to prepare a research proposal. They will also receive initial guidance and feedback on their proposal.

A 1,500-word proposal needs to be submitted through SafeAssign to outline the research question(s) and their significance, a brief review of literature as well as the methodology that will be used to answer the research question(s). Feedback will be provided on submitted proposals. |
