Course Overview

This course aims to develop students’ understanding of using digital technologies in the Primary classroom, by exploring key digital skills, pedagogies and the use of technology to support inclusion and assessment. This course will provide students with the opportunity to reflect upon their experiences of digital technology and how these have been used to enhance learning.

Course Description

This course is particular helpful for those studying Primary Education or those who want to learn more about using technologies to support learning. In the course, students will:

  • Develop an understanding of the importance of digital literacy, both for learners and as an emerging teacher.
  • Explore how digital technologies can be used to enhance learning and teaching.
  • Explore and analyse ways in which digital technologies can be used to facilitate an inclusive learning environment.
  • Reflect upon the implications of using digital technologies, for a school community and its partners.

Begin to develop an enquiring approach to the use of digital tools in the classroom, evaluating the value and effectiveness of a resource, sharing this with others.
