Honours level topics in inorganic and physical chemistry. This course will cover important aspects of physical chemistry such as chemical bonding and polymers, and the structure and properties of inorganic compounds.

Course Description

This course will build upon previous courses to cover advanced material in the fields of modern inorganic and physical chemistry.

Inorganic chemistry will cover the study of the transition metals including the rare earth and radioactive elements, and also the reactions, structure, and properties of inorganic compounds.

Physical chemistry will deepen the understanding of atomic and molecular structure and chemical bonding. The study of polymers will include structures, stereochemical aspects and physical properties.
