PD4001: PROFESSIONAL AND CLINICAL DEVELOPMENT IN CRITICAL CARE NURSING 1

30 credits

Level 4

First Term

This course has been designed to further develop registered nurses in critical care provision to become safe and competent practitioners. Enabling to provide individualised holistic care for the critically ill patient.

The students undertaking this course will further develop knowledge and skills to competently provide holistic care for the patient requiring level 3 care. The students undertaking this course should have a core knowledge in critical care practice and have successfully completed the NHS Grampian critical care education pathway or equivalent from outside of NHS Grampian

PD4002: PROFESSIONAL AND CLINICAL DEVELOPMENT IN CRITICAL CARE NURSING / AHP 2

30 credits

Level 4

First Term

This course is designed to build on the skills and knowledge gained in Professional and Clinical Development in Critical Care 1 to further develop the practitioner’s knowledge in critical care delivery. Embarking on part 2 will allow the individual practitioner to focus on their own professional development depending on their own career goals and aspirations.  

This course would provide the practitioner with the additional 30 credits to meet the National Education requirements to work in critical care.

This course has been designed to further develop registered nurses in critical care provision to become safe and competent practitioners. Enabling to provide individualised holistic care for the critically ill patient.
