Politics is the study of multiple forms of power than impacts our lives and the world we live in. It shapes how people and groups cooperate or clash with each other. In this course, we will the ideas, institutions, complex histories, global dynamics, and systems that shape politics and international relations. Students will learn key concepts and theories of the discipline, and develop their skills in understanding and analysing global politics.

Most aspects of our lives, whether related to the economy, culture, beliefs, life opportunities, or relationships are deeply affected and connected to global politics. Various communities around the world are cooperating beyond state borders, whereas other clash trying to shape the world in opposite directions. The course sheds light on power and conflict in politics and international relations.
Course Aims and Intended Learning Outcomes
Students will acquire knowledge and an understanding of foundational concepts and theories in the discipline. Doing so will allow them to integrate key insights from research in the politics and international relations discipline.
in addition, students will develop and practice crucial skills to effectively understand and discuss important topics for the discipline. These skills include self-reliance, critical thinking, time management, summarising complex ideas, persuasive written communications, effective oral communication, and proper referencing.
Course Content
The course will examine a number of key issues that are fundamental to the study of Politics and International Relations. This will include Peace & Conflict, Governance, Rights and some Politics and International Relations theories. Each core concept will be examined in detail which will allow both the theoretical aspect of it and contemporary examples to be examined.
