The course introduces the student to complete denture manufacturing processes. It looks at how differing jaw relationships can dictate tooth positioning. More complex problems relating to complete dentures opposing natural lower teeth are shown. This course builds on the skills learned in the previous courses on Primary dental laboratory Skills and Partial dentures.

This course builds on the theoretical knowledge and practice of complete dentures. Students are provided with the theory and practice of more complex dental manufacturing processes for complete dentures. Students will demonstrate this knowledge in the laboratory setting in the design and manufacture of a variation of removable prostheses they provide for their clients patients.
The course fulfils the Government Skills for Health National Occupational Standards for Dental technology.
