Building on Modern German Culture 3, this course consists of the study of selected aspects of modern German culture, involving the close analysis of German texts, together with lectures introducing students to the social, political and cultural context in which the texts were written.
The course consists of lectures on as well as tutorials in which students generate and discuss ideas about the texts and their contexts.
