This course is meant to provide students an opportunity to apply the knowledge and expertise they have acquired by writing an original piece of work on some aspects of financial economics.

Students will have a chance to write an original piece of work within the subject of financial economics by applying the knowledge and concepts they have learnt throughout their years at University of Aberdeen. The topic to be investigated will be identified by the student and approved by the Dissertation Coordinator and Dissertation Supervisor. With the help of a supervisor, the student will review the relevant literature, formulate a research question, choose the appropriate methodology to investigate the selected topic, and write their analysis. The Dissertation has a word limit of 10,000 words.
