Initial tutorial sessions will introduce the course, explore the nature of counselling research and range of concepts within the subject area. Then tutorials will cover literature reviews skills, critical analysis skills, moving to choosing the area for study and planning an outline. Students will develop their topic and further tutorials will provide supervision of their projects.
The aim is to develop higher level thinking skills by exploring evidence based practice in the world of Counselling. Aiding appreciation of the knowledge at the foundation of counselling and its application in professional practice. Facilitating initiative and independence in production of their project.
