This is a resit course for DEGREE OF MASTER OF ARTS IN MODERN LANGUAGES & TRANSLATION & INTERPRETATION STUDIES Two translations (one into English, ST in French/German/Spanish =350 words, ST in Chinese = 500 Chinese characters; one from English into a foreign language, ST = 250 words) = 40% A pre-recorded oral presentation in the relevant foreign language on the linguistic and/or extra-linguistic features of each ST and corresponding translation challenges (5 min for each ST, 10 mins in total, no PPT) = 20% A pre-recorded oral presentation in the relevant foreign language on a current affair related to the host country (10 mins, no PPT) = 40% |
