Course Overview

This course follows on Swedish 3.  In addition to building vocabulary and confidence, you will learn to use the passive mood as well as practise classic Swedish dilemmas, such as “tycker”, “tänker”, “tror” and “känner”.  You will also read a book in Swedish and write a book review.

Course Description

This course follows on Swedish 3. Apart from continuing to build vocabulary and confidence, we will also learn to use the passive mood (e.g. “the book is written” or “the murderer was arrested”) and the past participle (“the arrested murderer”) as well as practise classic Swedish dilemmas, such as “tycker”, “tänker”, “tror” and “känner”. You will read a book in Swedish and write a book review.

There are four compulsory seminars each week, with active practise and cultural elements interspersed.
