Course Overview

Building on SN 1002 Scandinavian Language I, students will continue their introduction to speaking, listening, reading and writing in Swedish. Students will learn to interact in both dialogues and written language, and also get some cultural insight. The course is designed to give students further development in the language, enabling them to progress to level 2.

Course Description

Building on SN 1002 Scandinavian Language I, students will continue their introduction to speaking, listening, reading and writing in a Scandinavian language, currently Swedish. Students will learn to interact in both dialogues and written language, and also get some cultural insight. The course is designed to give students further development in the language, enabling them to progress to level 2.

Please note, this course is designed for beginners to Scandinavian Languages and is not available to native speakers.
This course will be available as part of a Sustained Study programme in Scandinavian language.

Summative Assessments

Assessment 1st attempt: 1 two-hour written examination (70%); in-course assessment (20%), plus an oral examination (10%).

Resit: 1 two-hour written examination (100%).
