Course Overview

Introduction to Spanish Law is designed to introduce students to the institutional structure and some substantive principles of Spanish law. It involves a significant quantity of independent research and the aim of the five seminars is to give students direct help and instruction. The course covers Spanish law and its socio-political context, its sources, and the Spanish legal system. Knowledge of Spanish is desirable but not necessary.

Course Description

Introduction to Spanish Law is designed to introduce students to the institutional structure and some substantive principles of Spanish law. Further Information & Notes

Knowledge of Spanish is desirable but not necessary. The course is compulsory for the degree of LLB and Spanish Law and is an option for other LLB programmes.

Summative Assessments

1st Attempt: One 3000-word essay (100%).

Resit: Re-submission of 3000-essay (100%).

Formative Assessment

Oral presentation in class on which verbal feedback will be given.

Feedback

Summative essay will be returned with written feedback thereon.
