Course Overview

This course will introduce students to basic research methods and project planning in preparation for a final year dissertation project. Topics covered include developing a research topic, research proposals, project management, identification of primary and secondary sources, literature reviews, referencing and bibliographies.

Course Description

This course will introduce students to basic research methods. It will explore different categories of research in Music, and will provide a guide to formulating a research topic.

It will also cover bibliographic tools, research planning and organization, research presentation (including referencing).
