Course Overview

The Supply Chain Management course aims to provide a broad understanding of supply chain management and how it relates to logistics and different business operations. The course further enables students to solve a variety of complex supply chain problems, ultimately, optimising business performance interlinked with many operational aspects.

Course Description

The course emphasises two broad theoretical and practical domains: Theoretically, it provides the theoretical foundations of end-to-end supply chains, encompassing types of supply chains, relationships among supply chain players, logistics, warehousing, and other service providers. Practically, students will learn how to optimise performance and solve supply chain problems using software, example Excel. Students are involved through lectures, seminars, and computer workshops/labs. Students actively solve a variety of exercises that prepare them to be supply chain managers and executives capable of utilising supply chain tools and techniques for optimising their supply chain performance.
