The MSc Consulting Challenge requires students to produce a consulting report based upon their experience consulting for a company of their choice or a case study provided by the course convenor.
Advanced level knowledge and practice of a sub-area of the discipline is developed through practical interaction with the chosen business or detailed case study material. The students will be assigned an academic supervisor to oversee their research, data collection and report preparation.

The Consulting Challenge requires the students to produce a report that is the practical application of sound academic theory. In consultation with their supervisor, students will be able to reflect on, and learn, integrate new knowledge and apply it in the context of business consultancy. Each Consulting Challenge will be mentored by a qualified supervisor.
Students will first either identify a company they want to consult to or be given a case study to review and identify the consulting problem or discuss this with the course coordinator. Upon approval, a supervisor will be assigned to each student. Students will then be given primary and secondary research methodologies options to further explore the consulting problem through research design, data collection, analysis, synthesis and produce recommendations.
Information on contact teaching time is available from the course guide.
