This multi-faceted course will cover the various aspects required when designing and delivering consultancy and training courses in contemporary organisations. The importance of international, cultural and ethical dimensions will be embedded in the context of research, planning and delivery. The course will provide students the opportunity to deconstruct the nature of consultancy and offer key insights into different types of client interventions, and effective engagement as well as off-the-shelf and bespoke training.

This course develops the various key skills required to successfully engage in management consultancy and training delivery. The course will deconstruct the very nature of consultancy and training to key components in order to analyse the appropriate skills required for successful application of those components. The different levels and types of consultancy will be introduced as well as details on the consultancy phenomenon, the industry, management consultancy firms and examples of different consultancy projects, the major events and trends in the history of consultancy, the growth of the profession and the range of skills required to successfully engage in management consultancy. Students will also understand the needs of the client in order to design a better consultancy approach.
