This literature review course gives you the opportunity to research and do extended writing on a topic of direct relevance to your postgraduate programme and to your own interests. You will develop specialist knowledge and refine your synthesis and evaluation skills.
You will choose your topic in discussion with your Programme Coordinator. You will have a literature review supervisor who will provide you with feedback on your plan and provide comments on your draft literature review.

This is an independent literature review course, designed for students working towards a postgraduate Diploma. It may also exceptionally be taken by MSc students who, due to approved mitigating circumstances, miss a course and require a flexibly timetabled option to obtain 15 credits.
This course provides an opportunity to do in-depth study on a topic of interest, which is chosen in discussion with the Programme Coordinator. A supervisor with appropriate expertise will be identified and will discuss the literature review plan with the student and provide feedback on a draft and provide mentoring in relation to the subject area.
There are no timetabled hours for this course, just meetings arranged with the supervisor and self-study.
