The aim of this course is to examine the use of genome sequence information in the context of modern medicine and biomedical science. Advanced genetic analysis and genetic engineering technologies and their applications in medicine and biomedical science, as well as the role of genetically modified model organisms in advancing our understanding of biological processes relevant to human health and disease, are examined and explored.
