FinTech stands for Financial Technologies: technologies used and applied in the financial services sector, chiefly used by financial institutions themselves on the back end (back-office) of their businesses. But more and more, FinTech is coming to represent technologies that are disrupting traditional financial services, including mobile payments, money transfers, loans, fundraising, and asset management. This course will mainly focus on how Big Data and AI as subsets of FinTech impact business.

Artificial Intelligence & Big Data are being positioned as fundamental disruptors to business and society. As a group of 3-4 participants, pick an industry and discuss these impacts. You may also want to consider the regulatory framework within which these technologies will be applied. Ensure that your report provides critique of both positive impact and negative implications with specific examples. Feedback to be provided via marking rubric. |
