This 30 credit course offers part-time students on the MBA and MBA (Energy Management) programmes an opportunity to conduct an in-depth investigation and to improve practice through a capstone action-learing project. The positioning of this course toward the end of the programme is intended to promote integration of material covered in the preceding courses. Key elements of the work-based project include: Formulating reseah questions; Writing an evaluative literature review; Research methods in the management context; Collecting data for research; Ethical issues in business and management research; Analysing and discussing results; Managing a research project; and Writing up work; what makes a good strategic business project. Students taking this course will be allocated an academic supervisor.
