Course Description

The aim of this course is to explain the use of genome sequence information in the context of modern medicine, as a tool to understand biological processes relevant to human health and disease, how gene expression is controlled in health and disease in humans, and how genome technologies are used in the area of regenerative medicine. Finally, the course aims to show how model microorganisms can provide huge insight into the functional genomics of more complex organisms, such as human.
