This project is the culmination of the previous taught courses of the Petroleum Data Management MSc Programme. It is an extended, independent, self-directed, piece of practical work integrating and reinforcing the material taught on the rest of the programme, and giving a detailed insight into the demands of, and ways of carrying out, data management in the oil and gas industry. It will require integration of different elements of previous courses. Commonly, the projects are constructed around current problems that petroleum companies are facing with data management. These projects often are of a feasibility research nature, and typically are entirely original and have not been worked on before. Under guidance, the student will be responsible for the project design and execution.
