Course Overview

This applied anatomy course is designed for anyone wishing to refresh or enhance their knowledge of functional and applied anatomy for their own interest or for academic development. Attendees will include, but are not limited to: clinicians, allied healthcare professionals, science graduates, and anatomists. The course will begin with structured, online self-study resources with clear guidance to focus your preparation for 2 days of intensive face to face workshops, working with the cadaveric material. Knowledge and understanding will be assessed mainly by practical and written examination. A non-credit awarding option without formal assessment is also available. At the end of the course, attendees would be able to gain a applied/working knowledge of the structure and function of the upper limb.

Course Description

This applied anatomy course is designed for anyone wishing to refresh or enhance their knowledge of functional and applied anatomy for their own interest or for academic development.  Our online virtual learning resources include; commercial interactive 3D digital anatomy (Primal Pictures: AnatomyTV), cadaveric-based full body dissection videos (Acland’s Anatomy) and bespoke anatomy content. An online self-assessment system will help you to reflect on your own knowledge and also to prepare you for the face-to-face workshops, consisting of: cadaveric-based small group practical sessions augmented by brief keynote applied and clinical anatomy presentations.
