The classroom teaching – which comprises a mix of lectures, group work, case studies and discussion – focuses on action research training, set within general research concepts and tools. It is designed to provide a sound underpinning to students' own Practical Intervention Project report. Students will be expected to identify a work-based problem, project or challenge that will provide a research vehicle for applying concepts, theory and models of good practice. Action research models will be applied to the task of analysing practice, problematizing observed phenomena and applying solutions through a cyclical and iterative approach.
Information on contact teaching time is available from the course guide.
