BP5505: MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING AND ANALYSIS (2017-2018)

Last modified: 20 Jun 2019 12:35

Course Overview

This course provides both formal teaching of the fundamentals and hands-on practical work, to build expertise in all aspects of medical image processing and analysis. In addition to learning standard image processing techniques, students are introduced to some of the major software applications used in the Medical Imaging community. Practical work using Matlab, ImageJ and other tools allows students to develop their expertise in the rapid development of imaging applications. In addition, short project work allows students the opportunity to tackle more significant (and therefore more realistic) standalone imaging-based problems.
