module is takes students to the boundaries of applied geophysics with content
drawn from four areas that are currently the focus of much academic research
and which also garner much attention in the media:

Assessment: There are in-course exercises for formative feedback. The summative element consists of two exercises totalling 100% of the assessment. The exercises are: 1. a workbook recording practical work throughout the whole course (50%), and 2. a report exploring future trends in applied geophysics (50%).
