Course Overview

Based on knowledge that students have acquired from Creative Coding and Technology  (MU50__; a prerequisite course), this course consists of lectures and hands-on tutorials classes aiming to provide intermediate and advanced knowledge of and the skill set required for designing sounds for multimedia projects including films, games, installations and performance projects as well as sounds for web-based projects. Furthermore, the course focuses on digital signal processing and digital filtering techniques and helps students to create audio plugins for major audio programs.

Course Description

Based on the previous knowledge that students have acquired from Creative Coding and Technology (a prerequisite course), this course consists of lectures and hands-on tutorials classes aiming to provide intermediate and advanced knowledge and skill set required for designing sounds for multimedia projects including films, games, installations, performance projects as well as sounds for web-based projects. Furthermore, the course focuses on digital signal processing and digital filter techniques and helps students create audio plugins for major audio programs, such as DLL and VST (for PC) and VST and AU (for Mac).
