This course introduces students to what is involved in undertaking business research in practice. Within lectures, tutorials and workshops students will develop an understanding of: Information retrieval and critical analysis; Philosophical issues in the construction of knowledge; Accessing and gathering quantitative and qualitative data; Data analysis; Student/Supervisor expectations.

1st attempt: Essay 1 (1600words) 30%, essay 2 (2000 words) 40%, group presentation 10%, group piece 20%. Resit: For the individual elements students who score below D3 will be required to submit the respective elements within six weeks of the mark and feedback being returned. For the group element students who score below D3 will be required to submit the respective element within six weeks of the mark and feedback being returned.
