Course Description

The course covers topics such as Consumer and Producer theory, the Theory of Markets, the Economics of Information and Topics in Uncertainty, Welfare Economics, and Applications of Game Theory, covering topics such as Externalities, Taxation and the Optimal Provision of Public Goods. In macroeconomics, the course will cover topics such as endogenous growth, economic fluctuations, nominal and real rigidities and the output inflation trade-off, monetary policy and fiscal policy.

Summative Assessments

1st attempt: 1 three hour written examination (70%); continuous assessment (30%) consisting of an individual assignment with word count up to 3000. Resit: 1 three hour written examination (100%) capped at CAS 9.
