The students will be required to work in small groups of four to six, to brain-storm topics relevant to their own work and to the industry in general. Once they have obtained the approval of their tutor, they will be required to carry out a detailed literature search and subsequently an original investigation by using questionnaires, or other means to obtain data from industry for further analysis. They will need to draw meaningful conclusions and finally submit their findings as a report of approximately 20,000 words.
The students will need to use and demonstrate their understanding and knowledge of the many disciplines that comprise project management, and build on the foundations laid during the certificate phase of the programme.
This course will lay the foundation and prepare the students to undertake their individual dissertation in their final year of the MSc course.
